The famous Wu Liang Ye (Five Grain Liquor) from China. This baijiu is made from sorghum, glutinous rice, rice, wheat and corn. It is quite pungent but once you get used to it you will discover fruity and estery aromas. The palate contains a marked fruitiness mostly from pineapple notes, liquorice with savoury elements, soy sauce and a distinct dryness. The finish is very dry, long and lingering with alcohol burn.
